Last week’s episode of Supernatural was one of those episodes. There are times I truly believe that Supernatural is the best show on TV and this was one of those episodes. Seeing Dean cry at the end as he realizes what he might have to do to Sam one day was good stuff.
Anyway the show used two songs towards the end of the episode. In order:
First Song
Song: Look At You
Album: Dust
Artist: Screaming Trees

Second Song
Song: Silent Lucidity
Artist: Queensryche

Supernatural
Episode: Heart
Original Air date: March 22, 2007

Sears is running an ad with a pretty cool song (a trend these days). The song being used is called “Running with your Eyes Closed” from a band called Mojave 3.
The song can be purchased on iTunes by clicking the following link:
Lyrics
Running With Your Eyes Closed
Judy, I can see your colors, coming out in bloom
All your fountains, all your lovers, are the first to bloom
And you get away, running at the break of day,
head down, nose to the ground, running with your eyes closedDragonflies and buttercups, Chinese burns and rubber mats
Spring is gone and summer’s fleeting,
I felt the whispers of your leaving
Judy, where’s your smile today? And you get away, running at the break of day,
head down, nose to the ground, running with your eyes closed
Judy, I can see your colors, coming out in bloom
All your fountains, all your lovers, are the first to bloomAnd you get away, running at the break of day,
head down, nose to the ground, running with your eyes closed
Head down, nose to the ground, running with your eyes closed, yeah

Comment - great CD. I missed it until the beginning of 2006 - it’s a departure for BRMC - more acoustic than they had done before. Very soulful.

About 3 weeks ago I saw a JCPenney ad that I loved. Specifically I loved the music I heard in the ad. Unfortunately sometimes when you hear a song on television, it’s not so easy to find the song. After searching a bit, I bought the song on iTunes, and then posted about it on my normal blog: A Rubber Door.
Then something strange happened.
From getting eighty to a hundred visits a day, my blog was now seeing between three and four hundred visits a day. Obviously others were looking for the same information. That’s where this blog originates. The idea is simple - when I hear a song on TV, I’ll track it down and post about it here. Hopefully this will give people a medium for finding and talking about music on TV.
One thing - I don’t watch every show on TV, although sometimes it feels like I do. The list of shows I do watch will be found on the Shows page.
BTW - the song that led to this blog is called How Can it Be.
Thanks for stopping by.

For those of you wondering, the new commercial from JCPenney includes a song that was made specifically for the commercial. The singer’s name is Melanie Horsnell and she sounds a lot like Regina Spektor. The song is called “How Can it Be” and is available on iTunes. ![]()
