I never implied that they had written Beautiful things, I just said that it was sung by them. I have the Dr. Dolittle album wih Bobby Darin singing it so I realize they didn't write it. But you have to admit the Shiny Lapel Trio does a great job singing it.

OK. Nothing against the Shiny Lapel Trio, or any of the answers posted here, but "Beautiful Things" is not *BY* SLT. This version in the commercial is a *cover* by them. The original is from the 1967 film "Dr. Dolittle", was written by Leslie Bricusse (who wrote all the songs and the screenplay), and was sung by Anthony Newley in his role as Matthew Mugg. It's a tremendous soundtrack, and kudos to Shiny Lapel Trio for bringing one of it's wonderful songs back into the limelight.

The current Nov.08 commercial is sung by The Shiny Lapel Trio out of Connecticut. It's called Beautiful Things. You can verify this by going to their website:shinylapeltrio.com. I'm a big fan of theirs since they did their original Kohls commercial singing Sway.
