Sorry - away on vacation, so not watching much TV.
I think this is the correct information for the new Saturn Aura Commercial currently running. The song being used is “The Good Life” (iTunes) by Tim Myers.

“The Good Life” lyrics (iTunes)
Life is beautiful it’s true
When I balance what I do
And enjoy the world in front of me
And it’s time to get away
This is a good time to get away to the good life
To get away on this perfect day,
I’m gonna take time to work inside of the city
Or play all day in the country, this is the good life
I can’t help the way I feel
And I know that this is real
The sun is smiling down upon my face
I am filled up to the brim
And I just can’t hold it in
So I laugh out loud and tell the world
It’s time to get away

Blackberry is running a new commercial campaign and the music was driving me crazy - I knew I knew it, but there were no lyrics, just the intro to the song. Searching through my iTunes list, I found, the song used is called “Live the Proof” (iTunes) from fellow Philadelphian Jim Boggia.
Great singer/songwriter in the vein of Aimee Mann or Michael Penn.

The 5/5/2008 episode of CSI: Miami used the Hives’ song Tick Tick Boom (iTunes) to open the show. I’ve already said before on this blog, great album.
Tick Tick Boom (iTunes) lyrics
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was right all along
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you come taggin’ along
Yeah, exhibit A, on the tray, what you say?
As I throw it in your face
Yeah, exhibit B, what you see? Well that’s me,
I put it back in your place
Yeah, I done it before and I can do it some more
So what you waiting for?
Yeah, I was right all along
‘Cause I have done it before and I can do it some more
I got my eye on the score
I’m gonna cut to the core
It’s too late it’s too soon or is it?
Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, boom
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I was right, you were wrong
Yeah, yeah, yeah, going, going you’re gone
I saw your hesitating, waiting too much
’till it slipped through your hands
and then you stagger to your feet and out the door
’cause there’s not second chance
That’s right!
‘Cause I have done it before and I can do it some more
I got my eye on the score
I’m gonna cut to the core
It’s too late it’s too soon or is it?
Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, boom
Check it
And you come crying to me - but it’s too late
the man you try hard to be - but it’s too late
get your head out the sand - but it’s too late
it’s too late, too late, too late, too late
Oh yeah, but it’s too late
Yeah, but it’s too late
get your head out the sand, it’s too late
It’s too late, too late
You know I’ve done it before and I can do it some more
I got my eye on the score
I’m gonna cut to the core
I’m gonna cut to the core
It’s too late it’s too soon
It’s too late it’s too soon
It’s too late it’s too soon
Or is it?
Tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, boom

JCPenney should just run a radio station - of course everyone would sound like Regina Spektor. Their Mother’s Day Commercial is using a really cool song from Lavender Diamond, a band out of Los Angeles. The song is called “Open Your Heart” (iTunes). I may try the whole album.
“Open Your Heart” (iTunes) Lyrics
Well streets are long
When you have to go
Where are you running to?
Where are you running to?
Well streets are long
When you have to go
Where are you running to?
Where are you running to?
o, o, o, o, o (x4)
Open your heart
Tell apart
Open your heart
Tell apart
o, o, o, o, o (X4)
Well Streets are long
When you have to go
Where are you running to?
Where are you running to?
well Streets are long
When you have to go
Where are you running to?
Where are you running to?
Open your heart
Tell apart
Open your heart
Tell apart
o, o, o, o, o (X4)
well Streets are long
When you have to go
Where are you running to?
well Streets are long
When you have to go
Where are you running to?
Open your heart
Tell apart
Open your heart
Tell apart
